Happy Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is without a doubt my favorite holiday. First off we give thanks for our many blessings and pray blessings over those in need. Second, the shared family/friends time is a tradition that makes America great. Out of all the holidays Thanksgiving has not been over commercialized, nor do you feel bad if you didn’t remember to purchase a gift for someone. Thanksgiving is about sharing quality time whether playing board-games, chronicling family stories that never seem to get old or falling asleep after a good meal, it hard to measure up to Thanksgiving. I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. If you have a particular story or recipe you want to share please make a post. What say you?

Don't you hate it when you hear someone say they don't have anything to be thankful for? The oxygen that it took to say those words should equate THANKFULNESS. Wouldn't it be GREAT if family and friends were not the only ones that Thanksgiving was spent with? Of course it would be rare if they were not the first choice but what about someone/some family that will not have a turkey and the rest, one who has not the extended family, the one who can only stare in and watch but dare not touch... Could you invite them into your home to share a meal or would they be too much of a bother or someone else's concern? Are they the people who would say, "I don't have anything to be thankful for?" NO sir, some of them would be the first to say they are thankful to just be alive. It would be some of the ones who HAVE and yet ARE NOT THANKFUL.
